Designing a better future for
intimate apparel
Kate uses a designer’s brain and three decades of intimate-apparel experience to help businesses solve bigger problems.
About Kate
Kate Hipkin has spent three decades working across intimate apparel design and manufacturing, from heritage brands to fast fashion and mass production. That experience sits at the foundation of everything she does now.
Today, Kate works as a consultant and connector between brands and their manufacturing partners, bringing design thinking, sourcing expertise and long-standing relationships across Asia into conversations that are usually had too late.
Most recently, she explored this shift on stage at Interfilière Shanghai, speaking to brands and suppliers about what it takes to move from responding to a brief to becoming a genuine creative partner.
Services
I work with brands and manufacturers who are ready to move beyond the old brief-and-deliver way of working. Drawing on thirty years of design experience and close relationships with mills and manufacturing partners across the world, I help both sides bring their thinking into the room earlier, where it makes the most difference.
Our Core Services:
Creative Product Consultancy: Imaginative problem-solving and product direction that turns new ideas into distinctive, future-ready products grounded in what is achievable to manufacture and scale.
Brand & Supplier Partnership: Helping brands and suppliers move beyond a transactional brief-and-deliver relationship to build genuine creative and technical partnerships that unlock new possibilities.
Manufacturer & Mill Collaboration: Bringing design thinking and creative direction into manufacturing and mill partnerships to explore material innovation, new approaches and practical solutions for more responsible production.
